ABOUT US

Shadow

Vitality Bowls is an 800 – 1,500 sq. ft. Superfood Café focused on delivering top quality organic Açaí, Acerola, Pitaya and Graviola Bowls®, smoothies, fresh juices, soups, salads, and panini. Vitality Bowls® are enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, or dessert.

We are growing! Each month, we have new Vitality Bowls cafés opening in new markets across the country, as more and more entrepreneurs excitedly bring the health to their communities.

We created this company because of our strong commitment to bring health and wellness to every community across the country through fresh, high-quality superfoods. This philosophy has guided everything we do and we strive to instill the same health-minded values to our employees and customers.

Named one of the top 100 new franchises by Entrepreneur magazine, Vitality Bowls is a leader in the health food restaurant industry and we are looking for franchisees who want to spread Vitality Bowls’ mission in their own communities.

Vitality Bowls is committed to giving back to our local communities. Our corporate stores donate regularly to the local Food Banks. We also partner with a number of schools, donating gift cards and a portion of profits to various fundraisers. We support local children’s sports teams by providing smoothies for the kids to refuel their bodies.

As a restaurant brand, Vitality Bowls is always working to reduce waste and support sustainable practices. We encourage a commitment to recycling and composting when available in each of our stores. We only source meats from farmers with humane practices. We use organic products whenever possible. As long as fruits and veggies are fresh and top quality, we use each and every one regardless of its aesthetic shape.

“I love this place, my tropical bowl with chocolate chips takes me all the way to flavor town. I love stopping by here whenever I get the chance, you can’t get the fresh and organic ingredients anywhere else. And to top it off the customer service is through the roof!”

OUR FOUNDERS

Shadow

What started with a family’s hunt to find healthy, safe alternatives for a child with severe food allergies has turned into a national phenomenon that conquers America’s nutrition quest.

The vision of Roy and Tara Gilad, husband, wife, and triumphant entrepreneurs several times over, Vitality Bowls has become a sensation that is quickly on a course for coast-to-coast café franchise expansion.

How It All Started
ROY GILAD

Mr. Gilad has been our President and Chairman of the Board since our inception in San Ramon, California. Mr. Gilad is also the CEO and Chairman of Vitality Bowls Enterprises and corporate locations, and has held those positions since their inception in May 2011, March 2012, February 2013 and March 2016 respectively.

TARA GILAD

Mrs. Gilad has been our Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors since our inception in San Ramon, California. Ms. Gilad is also the COO and Secretary of Vitality Bowls Enterprises and corporate locations, and has held those positions since their inception in May 2011, March 2012, February 2013 and March 2016 respectively.

OUR FAMILY

Shadow

Roy and Tara Gilad, a pair of successful business owners, founded Vitality Bowls in 2011 in San Ramon, California. The duo started the superfood café concept together as a result of discovering their daughter’s severe food allergies and wanting to find healthy, safe food alternatives. Since franchising began in 2014, the brand has seen significant growth with more than 40 cafés open and in development. Today, Vitality Bowls is redefining the fast casual healthy food restaurant sector every day at each of its locations across the country.

Vitality Bowls has always looked to family to help support the business, and in 2012 Tara’s brother, Uriah Blum, joined Vitality Bowls as the Vice President of Operations bringing an extensive culinary background and several years of experience in the foodservice industry. Uriah’s wife Thea, a public relations practitioner specializing in health and restaurant brands, now leads Vitality Bowls’ communication initiatives.

Debra Ochoa – Castro Valley, CA

My passion in life is being healthy and sharing the knowledge of it with others. What I love most about Vitality Bowls is that it allows me to share my passion with local communities. A large percentage of people hear the word healthy and think it doesn’t taste good, however Vitality Bowls has shown that it’s delicious to eat healthier. As the owner I have the opportunity to help customers understand all the nutritional benefits the food provides them, while showing it’s satisfying and tasty too!

My favorite bowls are the “Detox” and “Graviola”.

Ameet Seth – Brentwood, CA

Being an owner at Vitality Bowls for almost a year now has been a very gratifying experience for me and my family. When we started the process, it was clearly evident that their mission, purpose and values matched those I was passionate about. Through this journey, I have learned that we live in a rapidly changing environment and Vitality Bowls is constantly changing as well. I remember joining when only one franchise store was opened, and to watch the growth and scale of Vitality Bowls now, makes me proud to be part of the family. I know this franchise has the potential to continue to great things and I am so excited to be part of this incredible journey.
