BY DISCOVERING ATX – If you’re on the smoothie bowl train like I am, you have to try out the Vitality Bowls in Cedar Park. Vitality Bowls is a franchise and Cedar Park now has their very own (which is why their Instagram is @cedarparkbowls). The owner and employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner was smiling, waiting for me to arrive and the employee at the register made an excellent smoothie bowl recommendation (which was good, because I was a little overwhelmed by their extensive menu). There is lots of seating and they have their WiFi code posted, so feel free to hang out.
I tried three things – a smoothie bowl, a panini, and a juice. First of all, there’s no filler. No ice or sugar is added to any of their bowls, smoothies, or juices. It’s just 100% fruit and other goodness. Vitality Bowls is unique in that their bowls focus on four main superfood bases – açaí, pitaya, acerola, graviola. Each superfood has unique qualities, depending on what health benefits you’re seeking. Currently, Vitality Bowls offers eleven different smoothie bowls, plus a breakfast oatmeal bowl and a dark chocolate dessert bowl. I tried their Nutty Bowl, which was an acai base blended with almond milk, apple juice, peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, and flax seed. It was beautifully topped with organic granola, bananas, honey, and crushed peanuts (it usually comes with almonds on top, but I asked to leave those off. They offered to do the crushed peanuts instead. How awesome!). Needless to say, I devoured it.
I have to be honest. I’ve been pretty disappointed with Cedar Park / Leander’s juice bar options… I’ve been a couple places and the combos just didn’t seem very appealing to me. Even Juiceland only has a few raw juices that I like. ENTER VITALITY BOWLS. I really liked their juices because they have a wide variety of flavor options. They have ones that highlight ginger, vitamin C, mint, and of course, the green veggies. I tried the “Detoxifier” which is lemon, raw ginger, cucumber, and coconut water. I’m a HUGE ginger fan and LOVED this juice. I could feel the healthy burn through my body (so good). If you need something between a hearty smoothie bowl and a juice, they have thirteen different smoothies for you to choose from (including a matcha smoothie). I told you, this menu is insane! I definitely came for their smoothie bowls, but I’ll for sure be back to work my way through their juice menu.
If you need something more than just juice or smoothies, Vitality Bowls also offers paninis, soups, and salads. Their paninis are as diverse as the rest of their menu, ranging from meats like turkey and sirloin, to veggie, to The Gladiator (peanut butter banana, granola, honey), to the eggnini (egg, spinach, mozzarella, pesto). Soups vary from week to week. Salads include a spinach salad with goat cheese and strawberries and a kale salad. You can also add turkey or sirloin to your salads! Salami is my favorite sandwich meat, so I was happy to see that as an option.
Final thoughts – This will be my go-to smoothie / juice place in Cedar Park from now on, especially when I need a healthy meal after work. There weren’t many people there when I was hanging out, and I couldn’t figure out why. This place should be packed! The employees were even eating here when they clocked out – that’s a good sign. If you do think you’ll become a regular, you can download their smartphone app and become a part of their rewards program.
If I’ve piqued your interest, I’d encourage you to check out THE MENU, then make your way to Cedar Park and enjoy. Thanks again Vitality Bowls in Cedar Park! I had the BEST experience and I hope you guys start seeing the business you deserve. You can for sure count on me as a weekly visitor.
