Superfood Packed Acai Bowls Are Coming to Preston Hollow

BY EATER DALLAS – Vitality Bowls, a California-based chain focused on superfood-packed smoothie bowls, is expanding to Preston Hollow Village this fall.

The franchise already operates more than 50 national locations, including three in DFW: Frisco, Las Colinas, and Colleyville, yet this will be the first for Dallas proper. Vitality’s bowls boast fruit puree bases as opposed to those filled with ice or yogurt. Vitality’s rely heavily on açaí (an Amazon berry known for its antioxidants) blended with other fruits and veggies like banana, blueberries, dates, kale, and more.

The cafe assures its bowls are sugar and preservative-free, and the kitchen avoids cross contamination of ingredients for diners with food allergies. The bowls include some of the more esoteric superfoods out there like graviola, acerola, mangosteen, camu camu, moringa, maca, bee pollen, and more. In addition to bowls, Vitality will offer soups, panini, and salads, along with organic kombucha on tap, juices, and smoothies.

“The fresh ingredients and superfoods that Vitality Bowls offers are unlike any other fast-casual eatery options in Dallas,” Todd Stein, the Preston Hollow franchisee, said in a statement. “My first bite of an açaí bowl at Vitality Bowls was a game-changer. I want to bring that same experience to everyone in Dallas.”
