Superfood café concept Vitality Bowls is marking the launch of its third New Jersey outpost with freebies and discounts.

The California-based chain is set to open May 8 at 1591-1593 Alps Road in Wayne.

Founded in 2011, the chain grew out of Roy and Tara Gilad’s search to find safe, healthy food alternatives after discovering their daughter’s severe food allergies. It offers a menu of quick, healthy meals made with clean, high-quality ingredients such as acai bowls, smoothies, juices, salads, grain bowls, wraps and toasts.

Vitality Bowls also has a mobile app and loyalty club program. The option allows customers to earn earn points on purchases, redeem rewards, order online, as well as access perks like birthday açai bowls and exclusive deals.

Vitality Bowls has more than 130 locations open or in development. It now ranks as one of the fastest-growing franchises in the U.S. by Entrepreneur, Inc. 5000, Franchise Times and Fast Casual.

As part of the grand-opening festivities in Wayne, Vitality Bowls will offer a buy-one, get-one-free deal on all acai bowls from May 8–10. It’ll also have a bu- one, get-one 50% off special on any menu item from May 11–31.

After opening New Jersey’s first Vitality Bowls two years ago in Harrison, married couple Amit and Geeta Patel added another outpost last spring in Hackensack.

‘An exciting step’

Husband-wife franchise team Hardik and Unnati Mistry own and operate the upcoming outpost in Wayne, according to Vitality Bowls.

They are taking a 1,200-square-foot space at a recently built retail property on the corner of Hamburg Turnpike and Alps Road known as The Yard. Vitality Bowls joins a tenant mix that includes Crumbl Cookies, GNC, European Wax Center, Mathnasium and District Taco.

Hardik Mistry said he is thrilled to “introduce residents to our nutritious superfood-focused menu.”

A self-described entrepreneur with a background in IT, customer service and operations, he added, “We’re eager to open our doors, connect with the community and welcome both new and returning guests.”

Following the grand opening, Vitality Bowls will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for pickup, delivery, dine-in and outdoor dining.

Vitality Bowls co-founder and President Tara Gilad said the Wayne opening is creating “a lot of buzz” and that the company looks forward to “a great launch.”

“Hardik and Unnati are doing a fantastic job leading the charge and bringing a nourishing dining option to the area. This is our third Vitality Bowls café in the state and an exciting step for the brand. We look forward to introducing more guests to Vitality Bowls and becoming an integral part of the Wayne community,” she said.
