BY THE ORLANDO SENTINEL – Another healthy eating restaurant concept, Vitality Bowls, is coming to Central Florida and opening its first location near Windermere. The restaurant is slated to open May 27, selling items like made-to-order acai bowls, smoothies, paninis and salads.

The Windermere location is at 8014 Conroy Windermere Road in the Grand Oaks Village shopping center. That’s the same shopping center that houses The Fresh Market and Peach Valley Cafe.

The San Ramon, Calif.-based Vitality Bowls started in 2011 and now has 70 locations in the United States open or in development, the company said. It also has locations in Jacksonville Beach, Sarasota and Miami.

Jackie and Harold Gattereau will be running the local franchise and also have plans to open a second location in Orlando by early 2019, according to a statement from the company.

Vitality Bowls joins a growing number of healthy eating chains in Central Florida such as Fresh Kitchen and Create Your Nature.

BY THE NEWS & RECORD – Vitality Bowls, a cafe specializing in acai bowls and antioxidant-rich drinks, is coming to Greensboro.

Franchisees Michael and Therese Lopez have signed an agreement to open a cafe in Greensboro.

Site selection is underway and the couple plan to open the cafe later this year.

Following this opening, the Lopezes are planning to open two additional locations in Winston-Salem and Chapel-Hill.

Originating in Northern California, Vitality Bowls specializes in bowls that feature a thick blend of the Amazon’s antioxidant-rich acai berry topped with a variety of ingredients such as graviola, spirulina, hemp seeds, pitaya, coconut milk, bananas, strawberries and honey.

Fresh juices, soups, panini and salads are also available at each café.

The eatery will include a full-service coffee bar, complete with espresso, cold-brew nitrogen-poured coffee, organic kombucha on tap and superfood drinks made from acai, pitaya and matcha.

There are 49 Vitality Bowls restaurants across the United States and more than 50 franchise units under development.

Vitality Bowls joins CoreLife Eatery, another healthier-eating option specializing in greens and grain bowls, which is also opening soon in Greensboro.

Vitality Bowls to Open Mountain View Location

BY MOUNTAIN VIEW PATCH  – Vitality Bowls, which specializes in açaí bowls – a thick blend of the Amazon’s antioxidant-rich açaí berry, topped with a variety of superfoods – announced today the opening of its café in Mountain View. The new franchise location will be the first for local 18-year-old Angelo Camacho and will mark the brand’s 50th open location.

“Growing up I was surrounded by healthy foods and successful entrepreneurs, including my aunt Tara Gilad who founded the Vitality Bowls brand,” said Camacho, a recent graduate of Westmont High School who is following his dream to own his own business. “It was a natural fit for me to open my own Vitality Bowls and offer the best ingredients possible as well as the largest selection of superfoods.”

Slated to open on May 10, the new restaurant will be located at 650 Castro Street, Suite 140, conveniently situated at the busy intersection of Castro Street and Church Street in downtown Mountain View. This restaurant will be the 30th Vitality Bowls café in California, joining the 49 locations based nationwide.
