BY CLEVELAND.COM – Açaí bowls have become a popular food trend, thanks to their Instagrammable quality and health benefits. Vitality Bowls, a fast-casual restaurant specializing in the so-called superfruit, recently opened in Rocky River.
The café, at 19511 Center Ridge Rd., is the first location in Northeast Ohio for the California-based chain, which now has about 100 restaurants in 18 states.
“From the first bite I took of an açaí bowl at Vitality Bowls, I knew it was the start of a new journey for me. The incredible taste of the fresh ingredients and the feeling it provides is just an unbeatable combination,” says franchise owner Chloe Co in a release. “My son is a big fan of all the menu items, too! I love that this café will be a place that adults and kids can both enjoy.”
The menu features a wide selection of healthy-conscious items like smoothies, juices, paninis and salads. But the star attraction is the açaí bowls, which are typically ordered for breakfast or as a snack. Açaí berries, rich in antioxidants and high in fiber, are either pureed or blended with coconut or almond milk to form the base. The bowl is then finished off with a variety of fruits, greens, nuts, granola and other toppings.
Bowls start at $7.49, but the average price is about $12.50.
Popular choices include the Green Bowl (with organic graviola, spirulina and hemp seeds), Dragon Bowl (featuring organic pitaya, coconut milk and bananas) and Vitality Bowl (with organic açaí, strawberries and honey). The company says everything is made to order using whole ingredients. The kitchen is designed to avoid cross-contact for people with food allergies.
“Simply put, we created Vitality Bowls to be a place where health-conscious individuals can go for a nutritional meal and enjoy a huge assortment of superfoods not typically found elsewhere,” says the company’s founder Tara Gilad in the release. “We believe that healthy food can be an option for fast casual food and we are excited to have Chloe on board with this. We look forward to seeing Chloe grow her business in Rocky River and sharing the Vitality Bowls message with the community.”
The café is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-8:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

BY COMMUNITY IMPACT NEWSPAPER – Vitality Bowls will open a second location in Frisco in April at 5729 Lebanon Road, Frisco. The first location opened in 2017 on Eldorado Parkway. Vitality Bowls specializes in making acai bowls, which is a thick blend of acai berry topped with organic granola and a selection of superfoods.

BY OMAHA WORLD-HERALD – Vitality Bowls, which has a menu focused on healthy eating, plans a second Omaha location at 2825 S. 170th Plaza.
The restaurant’s original location is in Aksarben Village at 1922 S. 67th St.
Katie and Tony DeSantis are the owners of both locations. The restaurants specialize in açai bowls, which are blended açai berries with a variety of toppings.
Vitality Bowls is a California-based chain and serves many “superfoods,” including graviola, acerola, mangosteen, camu camu, spirulina, aronia, moringa, maca, bee pollen and more. The restaurant also has a full-service coffee bar.

Local residents, professionals and students no longer need to struggle with eating healthy when out and about. Vitality Bowls, which specializes in açaí bowls – a thick blend of the Amazon’s antioxidant-rich açaí berry, topped with a variety of superfoods – announced today the opening of its café in Plainview. The new franchise location will be the first for Denise and Charlie Scuderi, who plan to open additional cafés in the Nassau County area.

Slated to open on March 28, the new restaurant is located at 52 Mannetto Hill Road conveniently situated in the Fairway Shopping Center. This restaurant will be the third Vitality Bowls café in New York, joining the 100 locations open or in development nationwide.
Originating in Northern California, Vitality Bowls has solidified itself as America’s superfood café – combining a dynamic café vibe with a unique collection of menu items containing high nutritional values and extraordinary tastes. Vitality Bowls offers an antioxidant-rich menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner items made to order for each customer. All açaí bowls and smoothies do not contain ingredient fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, added sugar or artificial preservatives, giving the purest taste possible.

The eatery will also include a full-service coffee bar, complete with espresso and superfood drinks that are packed with antioxidant-rich açaí, pitaya and matcha – for example, the Açaí Latte (espresso, açaí, coconut sugar, steamed almond milk) or the Superfood Mocha (espresso, CaCoCo superfood chocolate blend, steamed milk). Organic cold brew nitrogen-poured coffee and organic kombucha will also be available on-tap.
